Bespoke tailoring

Tailoring is a craft we respect and practise with care. From delicate embroidered fabrics, lace and velvet to everyday cottons, our commitment to skilled workmanship is evident in every garment entrusted to us.

Repairs & Alterations

With deep respect for the tailoring tradition, we bring garments back to life through repairs, restoration and alterations. We repair cherished pieces that have become worn or damaged and alter garments carefully for a better fit.

General Repairs
Buttons, poppers, jeans stud buttons, new hooks and eyes, new trouser zips in fabric or metal, new long jacket or coat zips, new long dress zips in concealed or standard styles, new skirt zips, new long cushion cover zips, new short cushion cover zips, and garment relining.

Trousers
Plain shortening, shortening with tape or vent, shortening with turn ups, lengthening, half pockets, new pockets, taking the waist in or out, tapering half or full leg, new fabric or metal zips, taking in at the hips, new elastic waistbands, reseating, rehemming, new stud buttons, sewing in a permanent crease, new belt loops, and new hooks and eyes.

Coats and Jackets
Shortening, sleeve shortening, sleeve lengthening, taking in or letting out, elbow patches, shoulder adjustments, and hanger loops.

Dresses
Straight and flared shortening, straight and flared lengthening, taking in or letting out from underarm to hem, adjusting two simple darts or seams, tapering from waist to hem, shoulder alterations, concealed or standard long zips, new elastic waistbands, and new dress straps.

Shirts, Blouses and Tops
Sleeve shortening with cuffs, hem shortening, turning cuffs or collars, taking in or letting out at the sides or sleeves, and shoulder alterations.

Skirts
Straight and flared shortening, straight and flared lengthening, taking in or letting out from waistband to hem, tapering from below the waistband to the hem, new skirt zips, and new elastic waistbands.

Cushion Making, Repairs and Alterations
Custom designs, simple square cushions, bolster cushions, round cushions, square box cushions, frilled edges, piping, and tassel or ribbon details.

Household Repairs and Alterations
Taking in bedsheets, dividing one sheet into two, adding new plastic poppers to duvet covers, resizing duvet covers, pillowcases and bedspreads, combining or dividing bedspreads, recovering and resizing pillows, resizing mattress toppers, replacing elastic in mattress toppers, resizing blankets, towels and cloths, resizing tablecloths, minor rug repairs such as replacing tassels, reattaching fabric wall hanging fixtures, replacing cushion cover zips, and resizing cushion covers.

Curtain Making, Repairs and Alterations
Shortening, dividing one curtain into two, lengthening, adding fabric to one side, making new curtains, replacing curtain tape, and relining.

Casual Dresses and Skirts
Dresses include simple four seam dresses to the knee, straight dresses to the knee, simple flared dresses to the knee, simple wrap dresses to the knee, shirt style dresses to the knee, and coat style dresses to the knee. Skirts include simple knee length skirts with elastic waistbands, simple straight knee length skirts with a waistband and zip, flared skirts, skirts with godets, pleated skirts, flared and gathered skirts, and detailed skirts with pockets, buttons or a long zip. Additional details may include beading, embroidery and lace.

Tops, Blouses, Shirts and Cardigans
T shirt style tops with sleeves, short or long sleeved tops, tie neck long sleeved blouses, roll neck tops, simple sleeveless blouses, front button blouses, flared and gathered blouses, kaftan style blouses, shirts with cuffs, collars, front buttons and darts, denim shirts with poppers, simple short kimono style cardigans, polo neck sweaters, and sleeveless vests.

Trousers and Shorts
Classic tailored trousers, flared trousers, wide leg trousers, harem style trousers, culottes, simple elastic waist trousers, leggings, pyjama sets, jumpsuits, and shorts.

Bags

Coats and Jackets
Simple knee length coats, simple short coats, classic knee length double breasted coats, double breasted jackets, tailored knee length coats, knee length trench coats, pea coats, cocoon coats, capes, jackets, military style jackets, safari style jackets, simple boleros, and bomber jackets.

Special Dressmaking
Wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride or groom outfits, evening wear, formalwear, ball gowns, and wedding dress repairs and alterations.

Special Alterations
Shortening straight or plain unlined and lined garments, shortening flared unlined and lined garments, simple and flared lengthening, taking in or letting out from underarm to waist or from waist to floor, letting out by removing the zip and adding an inner panel, new long zips, corset alterations, dart alterations, shoulder alterations with or without sleeves, sleeve alterations, sleeve shortening, and new dress straps.

Hand Embroidery
Single colour thread embroidery, multicoloured thread embroidery, and complex hand embroidery incorporating materials such as lace, netting, beads and fur.

Our selection is sourced locally and from the United Kingdom, Lebanon, Kuwait, India, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Through our concierge service, we can also help source particular fabrics and accessories. Visit the workshop or browse the online catalogue.

If you would like us to source some or all of the materials for your project, our concierge service is available for an additional charge. Pricing depends on whether the materials are sourced locally or internationally.

Rush Service

We agree the timeframe with you before work begins. If you need an earlier completion date, a rush charge may apply depending on the deadline, scale and complexity of the work.
